webinar: nutrition beyond the gluten-free diet

Today I saw the announcement for the next National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) webinar.  Food as Medicine for Celiac Disease: Nutrition Beyond the Gluten-Free Diet will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 8:30 EST.  Sponsored by Blue Diamond and Cabot Cheese, the webinar is free of charge, and The Gluten Free RD (Rachel Begun, MS, RD) will host.  I'm a firm believer in food as medicine (and plan to take nutrition coursework in the near future). Sign up soon!

Interested in a past webinar?  Check out the archive, which offers video in Windows Media Player format as well as PDFs & other terrific resources.

Also, if you'd like to be added to the NFCA mailing list to receive the next newsletter, fill out the simple form here.

News for me today (while I'm out with a sinus infection - boo!):
I signed up to have my blog added to the NFCA's list of Celiac and Gluten-Free Bloggers.  Yay!!

My description:
As a twenty-something office assistant who is prepping for grad school, Jessi is passionate about food - growing, cooking, eating, and sharing it.  Active in the Cincinnati Celiac Support Group, she is a country girl who shares her experiences in making gluten-free easy, delectable, and convenient as she lives & works in the Queen City.  The informative blog has recipes, restaurant & product reviews, local events, and lots of links.

I'm also awaiting further information on a very interesting graduate program to earn a Masters in Science in....something medical.  I'll elaborate when my decision has been made & I start the application process. 2012 will be an exciting year as I plan my transition back to school and into the medical field, where I've always felt I belong.  This will be a year of entrance tests and prerequisite coursework for preparation as I continue working in my current rewarding position.

Happy eating :)
